Funding allocated in 2009/10

In 2009 £900,000 was allocated to take forward the work of the National Strategy. As discussed at previous Reference Group meetings the priorities identified for future funding were:

  • Male survivors
  • Survivors living in rural areas
  • Prevention of abuse and survivors in a prison setting

Organisations previously funded under SASDF, who were already providing
services in these priority areas, were invited to submit proposals for the further development of those services. Following evaluation in December 2010 the following organisations were awarded funding:

Remote and Rural

Male survivors

Abuse Prevention

The funding also included other areas of work on the National Strategy including the website, the Communications Strategy, development of a national training strategy and some further work from the two data collection projects in Aberdeen and Fife.
